The Cotswold Pottery is a small family-run studio started in 1973 by John & Jude Jelfs.

The Cotswold Pottery is the home and studio of ceramic artists John and Jude Jelfs.

Everything we sell is hand made at our studio in Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire.

John Jelfs’ work is mainly wheel thrown. It ranges from his individual studio pots to kitchenware and teapots.

Several different kilns are used – a stoneware gas kiln, a soda kiln for vapour firing as well as a large wood-fired kiln located nearby.

Jude Jelfs makes hand-built ceramics. Her work is mainly figurative in earthenware, porcelain, stoneware with some soda-fired pieces. Jude also makes figurative sculpture in bronze.

Opening Times:

The Pottery shop is open all the year.
We are open most days from 10.30 – 5pm

Visitors to the shop are always welcome. We regret that due to the small size of our working area, the studio is NOT open to the public.
